Important Note – Concert Costumes

Dear parents and guardians,

The concert rehearsals are well under way and the children are very excited to perform in front of you all.  It is quite a challenging experience for them since for the final show they go to a totally new place with a huge stage.

The dress rehearsal which is held on Wednesday 7^th December will give them a taste of this lovely experience and I am sure they will enjoy it to the full.  We will be taking the children as a school up to St. Agatha School Rabat and back down on time for you to pick them up from St. Catherine’s.

As you all know the theme for our class this year is Mary Poppins.  We had to hire the costumes since when we checked for the possibility of buying them they were way out of budget.  I also wanted a certain style of clothes which are in line with the ones in the Mary Poppins movie.  Items which you would not have had a home.

It is quite cold at St. Agatha so under the costume which I will be providing, the children must wear the following

Group 1 – The Chimney Sweeps.

Loai, Hailey M., Sam, Denzel, Onur, Lashaya, Elias

• A winter vest
• A white polo neck
• Navy blue tights (Like the ones the children wear at school)
• Their blue school socks over the tights.
• Their blue school shoes
• A thick jacket which will keep them warm whilst waiting for our turn in the classrooms.
• Hairstyle – Chimney Sweep Hailey M – Horse tail.

Group 2 – The Pyjama children.

Mandy, Jannik, Chanelle, Mason, Osayma, Silvio.

• A winter vest
• A white polo neck
• White tights
• Their blue school shoes
• A thick jacket which will keep them warm whilst waiting for our turn in the classrooms.
• Hairstyle – Pygama Girls – Pig Tails close to their chin like in the picture below. I will provide them with ribbons which need to be tied as bows in their hair.       

Group 3 – The Smart Children

Julia G, Aiden, Kay, Alec, Luca, Julia D., Bendy, Cristina.

• A winter vest
• A white polo neck
• White tights
• Girls – Smart ballerina shoes that they have at home.
• Boys – The blue school shoes
• A thick jacket which will keep them warm whilst waiting for our turn in the classrooms.

• Hairstyle – Girls. Their hair has to be left down and the sides pulled back like in the picture below.  I will provide them with a ribbon to be worn as a bow at the back.

Luisa and Hailey C.,

What to wear under the costume provided.

• A winter vest
• White polo neck
• White tights
• Smart ballerina shoes preferably black.
• A thick jacket which will keep them warm whilst waiting for their turn in the classrooms.

Hairstyle – Luisa and Hailey C.  Their hair has to be tied in a bun at the base of their neck similar to the picture below.

 

Rehearsal Day

Please send the children with these items ready from home.  Every item has to be labelled.  In return I will provide the costume a day before so the children can wear that too.
