Week 2 – All About Me

a

Yesterday we started a new topic – All about Me.

We discussed how each and every one of us is special for our parents, guardians, grandparents and teachers.  We are unique in our own way.

Although we have two eyes, two ears, one nose, one mouth, ten fingers and ten toes, we all look different because our faces have different shapes.

Other features like the colour of our eyes, hair and skin make us special too.

The children had some time to look at themselves in a mirror to see all these special characteristics in themselves and in their friends.

We will be expanding on this topic next week.  We will be looking at our likes and dislikes.

  • Can you please send in ON MONDAY, an a5 print out or a cutout from a magazine, of your child’s favourite food? Please do this exercise with your children’s help
  • Stick it on a piece of cardboard (kartoncin)
  • Place it in their red folder.

Thank you for your help and co-operation.  I really appreciate your help.  At the moment the topics we are tackling require your input so they will be meaningful for your children and they will be able to build a special link between school and home.

(This topic also linked us to numeracy topic where whilst looking at ourselves we emphasized having 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 hands 2 legs etc. You can find more information in the numeracy section.)

    1. Hi Ms. Fenech honey loops should be fine. Yes please I wish to do Mandy’s show and tell. If you can send in two or three photos of her as a baby, as a one year old and a year later. These are not the ones with the animals which you had sent in earlier. Thanks
